About the Event
Mamma-Baby yoga is for you and your baby. You take your own blanket for the baby to lie on beside you during the class. For some exercises the baby can by lying on your mat if they are awake, and there will be many opportunities to interact with your baby during the class.
In the time after pregnancy, delivery and life as a new parent often involves many changes and stresses on the body, and often very little time to focus on yourself. Mamma-baby yoga is a gentle, relaxing and strengthening yoga to help strengthen the body, release tensions, improve energy flow and help the body feel relaxed and invigorated. It is also an opportunity to bond with you baby as she/he watches you perform your yoga poses, and inspiration for your own home yoga practice.
The class is suitable for parents with babies from 2-8 months, or until they are likely to crawl away. For the mother, 6 weeks after normal delivery or 8 weeks after Caesarian delivery is the general recommendation to begin yoga.
Pappas with their baby are also welcome to the class.
This course will be offered in two blocks of 7 weeks (as babies grow up so quickly). Block 1 start 25 August (week 35). Block 2 start 13 October (week 42). Price for 7 sessions 1120kr
